"Hard Times" opens Saturday, March 13 with a special reception on Wednesday, March 24, 6-8 p.m. The exhibition is generously sponsored by the Thomas Kearns McCarthy Gallery, Jim Dabakis, Thomas Kearns McCarthey, and Stephen Justesen with additional support from Fred C. and Sherry Ross and the Art Renewal Center. Curated by Traci M. Fieldsted, Hard Times opened at the Thomas Kearns McCarthey Gallery (Park City, Utah) and will next travel to the Butler Institute of American Art, Trumbull Branch (Howland Township, Ohio) from May 16-June 27, 2010.
86th Annual Spring Salon entry forms available
The Spring Salon is Utah's premiere juried art exhibition. The Salon is open to all Utah artists, wherever they may live, working all styles of artistic expression. It encourages diverse applications of style, content and technique and seeks to promote varied conceptual and formal directions in art. The exhibition will attempt to balance various areas of artistic concern, including Traditional, Realism, Impressionism, Modern, Visionary, Conceptual and Western/Americana.
