The Illustrated Life of Louisa May Alcott: Works by Bethanne Andersen

Award winning artist Bethanne Andersen has illustrated more than half a dozen children’s books, a career she started practicing for when she was five. She dreamed of was becoming a painter, and she went on to study abstract painting for both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Her book, The Life of Louisa May Alcott, written by Yona Zeldis McDonough was published in 2009, depicts the life of the great American author. Beginning September 10, 2011, the museum will be hosting an exhibition of original illustrations from this biography of Louisa May Alcott. It will feature Andersen’s engaging works, as well as documents and historical artifacts from the Louisa May Alcott collection at nearby Brigham Young University.
