Volunteer Program

The Springville Museum of Art is always seeking energetic and enthusiastic volunteers to help lead tours, hang exhibitions, help with visitor services, and assist with special events. The Museum is a dynamic environment where everyday presents a different challenge.  We are looking for passionate individuals who love the arts and who want to be involved behind the scenes at Utah's first museum for the fine arts!

There are 5 great ways to volunteer:

1. Visitor Services: these volunteers assist visitors to the museum by providing excellent customer service at the front desk and in our museum store.

2. Exhibitions: Help our museum staff handle artwork, prepare galleries, and hang upcoming exhibitions

3. Special Events: Assist with book clubs, Community and Family Night, exhibition openings, Children's Art Festival and more...

4. Docent (Tour Guide): Museum docents act as guides for scheduled visitors of all ages through the museum. They ask great questions, lead interesting conversations, and share the history and culture of the Museum.  Docent trainings are held in January and September.

5. Internship: Interns get to work with our staff in various areas of museum work. They get a wide range of experiences and also have ownership over several projects during a semester.  Internships are perfect for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students who are looking for work experience in the arts, communications, education, or non-profits.  Find out more here.
